about Patsy …
You know those films or TV shows, where the protagonist sits in an all white clinical room with the therapist peering down at them asking, “so how did that make you feel?” in a dull voice that would make anyone fall asleep. I can assure you that I’m not one of them!
I am a qualified, BACP accredited counsellor and I have chosen to spend most of my career working with young people in several settings, including education, the NHS and charities.
Like most therapists, I work with anxiety, exam anxiety, low mood, depression, bereavement and loss, identity, life transitions – school, work, moving out or back home to name a few.
My practice is inclusive of all races, ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations, disabilities and religious beliefs. I am interested in and acknowledge the ways in which intersecting identities affect our lives, or relationships, and our sense of self as human beings.
I love what I do, it is equally challenging and rewarding. I get to work with really interesting people and help them become more confident and comfortable in themselves and in their lives.
